A specialist 1/8″ caning chisel ideal for opening cane holes and guiding cane in chair seat weaving and restoration work.

Description

Sold As: each

The 1/8″ Caning Chisel (405-1) is a specialist hand tool designed for caning and chair seat weaving work. Its narrow, precision-ground blade makes it ideal for opening up cane holes, clearing blockages, and guiding cane strands through tight spaces — tasks that require accuracy and control that a general-purpose tool simply can’t provide.

Whether you’re restoring an antique chair or working on a fresh caning project, this chisel helps you achieve clean, professional results with minimal effort. The 1/8″ width is a go-to size for standard caning work, making it a practical addition to any upholsterer’s or restorer’s toolkit. Sold individually, so you can pick up exactly what you need.

At Glover Bros, we stock tools trusted by trade professionals and enthusiastic DIYers alike — and this caning chisel is no exception. If you’re getting started with chair caning or topping up your supplies, this is a reliable and affordable choice.
