These 5/8 inch (15mm) Improved Upholstery Tacks are a workshop staple for anyone working with traditional upholstery techniques. Whether you’re attaching webbing, hessian, fabric, or leather to timber frames, these tacks provide a reliable and secure fixing that stands the test of time. Suitable for both hand-driving with an upholstery hammer and use with a tack lifter, they’re a must-have in any upholsterer’s toolkit.
The ‘Improved’ designation refers to the larger, flattened head design, which gives a broader surface area for gripping fabrics and materials more securely than fine tacks. This makes them particularly well suited to heavier fabrics, hessian, and base cloth applications where a stronger hold is needed. At 15mm in length, they offer excellent penetration into timber frames without splitting the wood.
Trusted by professional upholsterers and home restorers alike, these tacks are ideal for traditional drop-in seat pads, pin-stuffed chairs, and a wide range of soft furnishing projects. Order with confidence from Glover Bros, your go-to source for quality upholstery and soft furnishing supplies.
