Strand Gimp is a classic upholstery trimming used to add a neat, decorative finish to furniture, cushions, and soft furnishings. Traditionally applied along seams, borders, and edges, it cleverly conceals tacks, staples, and raw fabric edges while giving your project a polished, professional look. Whether you’re restoring a vintage armchair or adding the finishing touch to a bespoke piece, Strand Gimp is a go-to choice for upholsterers and craft enthusiasts alike.
This gimp is sold by the metre with a minimum order of 3 metres, making it ideal for both small projects and larger upholstery jobs. Its woven construction gives it a subtle texture and attractive appearance that works beautifully alongside a wide range of fabrics and colour schemes. Simply apply with gimp pins or a suitable adhesive for a secure and attractive finish that stands the test of time.
Available in a range of colours to suit your project, Strand Gimp from Glover Bros is a reliable, quality trimming trusted by trade professionals and home crafters across the UK. If you’re unsure which colour or quantity you need, our friendly team is always happy to help.
