Polyfoam or Polyester Edge Roll is a classic upholstery staple, used to create smooth, rounded edges on chair arms, seat fronts, and backs. Available in 20mm, it’s placed along the frame edge before covering with fabric or webbing, giving your finished piece that professional, neatly defined silhouette that separates a quality job from a rushed one.
Whether you’re a seasoned upholsterer restoring antique furniture or a home crafter tackling your first dining chair makeover, edge roll makes the finishing process far easier. It prevents fabric from cutting on sharp timber edges, adds a touch of padding for comfort, and helps maintain a consistent, even edge line across the whole piece.
Sold by the metre, it’s easy to order exactly what you need for your project — simply measure the total edge length you’re working with and order accordingly. Lightweight and flexible, it tacks or staples in place quickly and works equally well with both polyfoam and polyester constructions.
Deliveries within our van delivery area with a value of over £40 (net) are carried free of charge. Below that level we make a token charge of £7.50 (net). If you miss your van delivery day and you want it sent by carrier, the charge is £14.95 (net).
Deliveries outside our van delivery area with a value of over £160 (net) are sent free of charge using a Next Day service. For orders below that level we charge what the carrier charges us which at present is £14.95 (net) for up to 20 kg in England, Wales and most of Scotland. (For Grampians, Highlands and off-shore islands please ask us to quote). We use first class post for small items and charge for the stamp and the jiffy bag.
