Hardwood dowels 8mm x 50mm, sold individually — ideal for jointing and reinforcing timber frames in upholstery and furniture projects.
These hardwood dowels measure 8mm in diameter and 50mm in length, making them a handy and reliable jointing solution for a wide range of upholstery and soft furnishing projects. Strong, smooth, and consistent in size, they’re ideal for aligning and securing timber frames, attaching components, and reinforcing joints where a neat, flush finish is required.
Sold individually, these dowels are perfect for when you need just the right number for your project — whether you’re a trade upholsterer working through a busy workshop or a DIY enthusiast tackling a furniture restoration at home. Their hardwood construction ensures excellent durability and grip, giving your joints the strength they need to stand the test of time.
Compatible with standard 8mm drill bits, these dowels are easy to use with minimal preparation. Simply apply a touch of wood glue, tap into place, and you’re done. Keep a supply in your workshop for repairs, builds, and everything in between — they’re one of those small but essential sundries you’ll always be glad to have to hand.
