Our 4mm No. 13 Beading and Centre Cane is a versatile, high-quality rattan cane suitable for a wide range of traditional and contemporary cane work projects. Beading cane — sometimes called centre cane — is the smooth, rounded inner core of the rattan plant, making it flexible, strong, and easy to work with. The 4mm gauge (No. 13) is one of the most popular sizes, ideal for use as a beading cane to cover and finish the edges of cane panels, or as a weaving cane in its own right for a variety of craft and upholstery projects. It bends beautifully when dampened, giving you clean, neat results every time.
This cane is sold per metre, with a full hank of approximately 60 metres available, making it excellent value whether you need a small amount for a repair or a full supply for a larger project. Stock up and keep it to hand in your workshop — you’ll find yourself reaching for it time and again.
Deliveries within our van delivery area with a value of over £40 (net) are carried free of charge. Below that level we make a token charge of £7.50 (net). If you miss your van delivery day and you want it sent by carrier, the charge is £14.95 (net).
Deliveries outside our van delivery area with a value of over £160 (net) are sent free of charge using a Next Day service. For orders below that level we charge what the carrier charges us which at present is £14.95 (net) for up to 20 kg in England, Wales and most of Scotland. (For Grampians, Highlands and off-shore islands please ask us to quote). We use first class post for small items and charge for the stamp and the jiffy bag.
