This 2″ rubberised coir fibre pad is a traditional and hardwearing filling material, ideal for upholstery projects where a firm, natural base layer is needed. Made from coconut fibre (coir) that has been treated with rubber latex, it holds its shape brilliantly and provides excellent support — perfect as a first stuffing layer beneath foam, wadding, or top fabric in chairs, sofas, and drop-in seat pads.
The rubberising process binds the natural coir fibres together, giving the pad added resilience and helping it resist compression over time. This makes it a favourite with trade upholsterers working on traditional and period furniture restoration, as well as DIY enthusiasts tackling their own projects at home. The distinctive yellow and white colouring makes it easy to identify and handle during use.
Sold as a sheet, this pad is easy to cut to size with scissors or a sharp blade, allowing you to tailor it precisely to your frame or seat shape. Deliveries within our van delivery area with a value of over £40 (net) are carried free of charge. Below that level we make a token charge of £7.50 (net). If you miss your van delivery day and you want it sent by carrier, the charge is £14.95 (net).
Deliveries outside our van delivery area with a value of over £160 (net) are sent free of charge using a Next Day service. For orders below that level we charge what the carrier charges us which at present is £14.95 (net) for up to 20 kg in England, Wales and most of Scotland. (For Grampians, Highlands and off-shore islands please ask us to quote). We use first class post for small items and charge for the stamp and the jiffy bag.
