Hessian

Hessian is a tough, plain woven coarse cloth, usually jute. It is made in 7 to 12 oz weights, varying from open to tight weaves. The heavier weights are used over springing and the lower weights are more suited to those areas with less demand on them. Linen Scrim is of lighter weight, made from flax.
